A Letter to International Friends in Ruili

Ruili Municipal Command of Novel Coronovirus Prevention Ａnd Control

To protect people’s life Ａnd health, relevant authorities of Ruili have immediately traced down all the close contacts of two new confirmed imported cases. The two confirmed patients are non-Chinese citizens Ａnd are receiving treatment in hospital, while all the close contacts have been placed under observation Ａnd received nucleic acid tests (NAT). In accordance with the CDC emergency management procedures, all people shall not be allowed to leave Ｏr enter Ruili City except for special reasons Ｆrom 22:00, September 14, 2020. The tentative lockdown will last for one week. All residents of Ruili shall be required to stay at home, Ａnd shall not go outside except for special occasions. All residents of Ruili, including foreign friends living Ａnd working here, shall receive NAT Ｆrom 08:30, September 15, 2020. All people will be treated equally, regardless of their nationalities, Ａnd the testing fee will be covered by Ruili Municipal Government. The testing fee occurred after government-scheduled deadline  will be borne by yourselves.

During your stay-at-home period, staff Ｆrom local communities Ａnd CDC will take your sample for NAT, Ａnd the testing result will be forwarded to you via WeChat mini program Yunnan Health Code. The printed result will be forwarded to you by community staff if you need a hard copy. The NAT result report shall be an important pass for your travel Ａnd entry into public places in the coming days; Otherwise, your daily work, life, Ａnd travel will be restricted. You are strongly recommended to register Yunnan Health Code right away so as to enjoy the quality government Ａnd social services of Yunnan Province Ａnd have quick access to more information.

According to Chinese laws, it is everyone’s obligation to cooperate with authorities for the prevention Ａnd control of infectious diseases Ａnd whoever refuses to cooperate will face administrative Ｏr criminal penalties. Please be well-aware of relevant risks Ａnd cooperate with nucleic acid sampling Ａnd testing.
